We are a successful and well established Liverpool firm of Chartered Accountants seeking to recruit a Receptionist/Administrator. This is a permanent full time position with a competitive package and potential for development for the right candidate

Reporting to the Practice Manager, the purpose of the role is to provide first class customer service to our clients both face to face and on the telephone, and financial administrative support to the business.

Key responsibilities include:


    • Answer and direct all incoming calls to the appropriate department/person
    • Assist and direct all customers and visitors to the office
    • Keep an accurate record of all calls and visits to the office
    • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
    • Distribute incoming post and prepare outgoing post on a daily basis
    • Manage office diary
    • Manage conference and meeting room bookings
    • Maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and tidy and at all times


    • Financial data input on spread sheets, and accounting software
    • Assist with daily and monthly financial routines
    • Prepare new client documentation

 Key skills and attributes 

  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels with both clients      and colleagues
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office and other software      packages
  • Knowledge of Sage Accounts an advantage
  • Proactive working to achieve targets and meet deadlines
  • High concern for standards and timeliness of work
  • Enthusiastic, can-do attitude essential.
